A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.

About Us

Our Journey

Our History

The Bluff Camera Club was started in 1966 after a camera enthusiast, “Blackie” Swart, put an advert in The Bluff Newsletter. The result was a turn-out sufficient numbers to form a committee. The intention of the club was to cater for all aspects of photography – cine, slides & prints. Judging was done on a quarterly basis. Meetings were held in St George’s Hall, Admiral Road, Bluff. Annual subs were the vast sum of R2.00.

The club has come a long way since 1966, at one time being placed 2nd in the country in the PSSA Premier Club Awards. Members have come & gone, but one of the foundation members, Mrs Pat Harward, still attends meetings.

With the birth of video, cine slowly fell by the wayside. The club caters for digital images.

What makes us special?

Our mission is to provide a supportive community for local enthusiasts to sharpen their skills, share stories, and grow together in their passion for capturing life.
